Carpets in the house - well forgotten old

It's no secret that the carpet on the wall was one of the symbols of the Soviet era. But times are changing and innovators have abandoned the past. Only a couple of decades later, fashion began to reverse again. Now it is not only a symbol of luxury as in the old days, but also part of the modern design of the first fashionistas. The variety of assortment dazzles.
Should I choose Persian for a rich bedroom decoration, or soft and cheerful for a nursery? What is right for you?

The subtleties of the selection of carpets

In order not to be mistaken with the choice and not to spoil the atmosphere, it is worth deciding on the place: will it be a bedroom, living room or nursery, or maybe a kitchen or a terrace? If in doubt, try to follow the algorithm:
  1. Choose a place for the carpet - it can be any room, or even the whole apartment. Other characteristics should be chosen depending on where the carpet will be located. Don't be afraid to hang it on the wall - these are by no means relics of the past. Previously, the problem of sound insulation was solved in this way, and in modern housing layouts (studios, euro) it helps to delimit the space. For example, to separate the kitchen area from the living room with a combined building. Be careful with the size - too small or too large can visually limit the room. If you have a non-standard footage - see where it is possible to buy carpets online  with a selection of individual parameters.
  2. The material of the product is no less significant: the priority, as always, is for natural ingredients. Wool, silk and leather are most pleasant for tactile sensations. A high-quality product will retain its natural shape for a long time and will not deteriorate when cleaning or receive prints from a heavy sofa or headset. They are easy to clean and require little maintenance. The only negative is that rarely wool can provoke allergies. In this case, pay attention to synthetic counterparts: they perfectly replace natural materials and help save your budget.
  3. Decide on your favorite color. In the nursery, cheerful positive rugs with your favorite characters will look great, as an option, use gentle pastel colors. In the living room or office, skins or products with a geometric pattern look harmonious. In this case, the shape does not matter: a round or oval carpet will brighten up the space, especially if there are vases or arches. A small living space can be visually expanded with carpets decorated in light colors. In the Art Nouveau style, the image of flowers or animals fits well. If you want to create an eco-friendly style, then it is wise to purchase grass green carpets. To recreate the atmosphere of good old England, lay a carpet in chocolate or burgundy shades, as well as add a coffee table, floor vase or bookcase to the interior.
Whichever carpet you choose, it should decorate your room. Leave your cleaning worries behind - there are many popular cleaning products on the market that will easily deal with any kind of dirt. As a last resort, choose the length of the pile: the shorter, the easier it is to clean. Do not be afraid to experiment: recently, the combination of several carpets in the same room or even with each other is gaining popularity. A neutral rug with its colorful sibling looks extravagant. The layout of different fabrics looks spectacular - woolen and knitted. If there is no inspiration at all, we recommend looking at the ready-made design projects.
